Shafts Manufacturing
Bega Screw Conveyors offers the manufacture of many components for screw conveyor machines, in this section the different types of shafts available are shown.
-
Shafts: They are made of cold rolled steel, they are used to transmit motion along the shaft, placed in strategic points fastened by coupling bolts, they are inside the pipe where screw flights are welded.
According their location in the screw conveyor, there are 3 types of shafts:
Types of shafts
Drive Shaft
Drive shafts are used when pedestal side covers are supplied with a single bearing. Drilling the shaft with a template eases the installation.
Coupling shaft:
They are used to join 2 screws inside of the screw conveyor, coupling shafts are held by the hanger in order to avoid friction between screw flights and trough. Drilling the shaft with a template eases the installation.
End shaft:
They support the last screw section, so that they are manufactured of cold rolled steel. Drilling the shaft with a template eases the installation.
