Shaftless screw conveyors have two purposes according to the manufacturing point of view: 

a) It is created for being implemented as a spare part, to easily replace the worn ribbon, normally, it is used for being welded on a tube, they can be made of carbon steel, SS-304, SS-316 with several thicknesses from sheet gauge 14 to 3/8”.

b) Shaftless ribbon screw is implemented in handling materials, with thickness from ½” to 1”, it can be made of carbon steel, stainless steel 304 and 316. They are suitable to handle viscous or pasty materials. Commonly they have a drive shaft. 
 

   Manufacturing materials of this type of conveyors are A36 steel, SS-304, SS-316, SS-430. Welding is applied on contact area between the 2 flights. 

Regularly these are spare pieces for existent machines, so delivery time is short.
