Project: Screw conveyor for bulk handling aluminum hot burr.

Customer need: Our client, a well-known French brand that manufactures aluminum wheels for cars, required advice to implement an aluminum burr management system in the recycling stage in its production process. With an efficiency of 3 ton / hr with the characteristic that the material would move to a temperature of 190 degrees Celsius.

Bega Engineering:  As part of the design process in our engineering department, began a data collection, both the material and the space where it would be installed, to start the preliminary design and present our proposal. The space was sufficient to place a helical conveyor of 8 meters in length, at an inclination of 17 degrees, to unload in a container hopper, the material of manufacture in carbon steel with special coating to withstand the temperature of 8 meters, avoiding the placement of intermediate pendants to prolong the change of contact parts, in addition to the helical had special anti-friction coatings and increase the useful life of this important component, in addition mechanical components such as bearings, seals and transmission were calculated to be in operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
